Like Shoukei said (here), the dark profile of Batman is more outstanding in Batman Gotham Knight. It makes the direct-to-DVD release movie even more appealing!

Batman Gotham Knight Six Short Films

So Batman Gotham Night is an anthology of short animated films. It regroups six segments. Jordan Goldberg worked sketched out the main story of Batman Gotham Knight while and Bob Kane worked on the characters setting guidelines for a team of American and Japanese working on the six film segments:

- Have I Got A Story For You
Directed by Shoujirou Nishimi
Screenplay by Josh Olson

- Crossfire
Directed by Futoshi Higashide
Screenplay by Greg Rucka

- Field Test
Directed by Hiroshi Morioka
Screenplay by Jordan Goldberg

- In Darkness Dwells
Directed by Yasuhiro Aoki
Screenplay by David S. Goyer

- Working Through Pain
Directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka
Screenplay by Brian Azzarello

- Deadshot
Directed by Jong-Sik Nam
Screenplay by Alan Burnett

(Summaries of the segments should be posted soon.)

I understand better why Gotham Knight is manga like: Japanese directors are well represented. But I'm assured by the American scriptwriters.

I'm quite confident that Batman Gotham City is going to be awesome: it will be a really nice warm up before the Dark Knight.
